I have photographed Weddings at Gaynes Park so many times now, but every time is always the first.
It is important, especially when working at the same venue often, to approach each wedding day with a fresh pair of eyes (not ‘fresh of pair eyes’ like I usually say :p). A new outlook. I love to get into an empty space in my head and create from there. To me, that is the only way I can create work that is true to who I am. True to my voice.
This approach helps me connect with the present moment, with my couples, with everything around me. I ground myself in the present but I travel at the same time. Through movement, through words, through ideas. Through allowing myself the time to create. In the moment.
Watch your couple. How do they move? How do they hold each other? Where does his arm go? So many times I start with a direction and before I finish my sentence it has changed into something else…because as you talk, they move and with their movement they are showing you who they are, how they like to be. Together.
Allow yourself the time to create.
Jade and Ryan’s day was beautiful, just like they are. So simple, elegant and tasteful.
I loved creating with them and below are a few images from their day for you to enjoy…
Much love,
